BioMar continues the steady growth and delivers solid results despite the pandemic. Both volumes sold and revenue went up in Q2 compared to 2020 while margins were challenged by a significant increase in raw material prices and logistic costs.

Local MP Felix Ellis tours BioMar Australia

Last week local Braddon MP, Felix Ellis, took time out of his schedule to come out and visit BioMar’s Wesley Vale facility. Felix was elected to represent Braddon in the recent Tasmanian 2021 election, becoming the youngest member of parliament.

Shooters, Fishers & Farmers visit BioMar

On June 23rd BioMar Australia welcomed Ken Orr and Adrian Pickin from the Tasmania’s Shooters, Fishers & Farmers Party. Both Ken and Adrian have shown interest in aquaculture, having viewed both fish farms and hatcheries prior to visiting BioMar, with our production being the last link in the aquaculture supply chain.

Educating The Future

At BioMar over the last few weeks, we have been engaging with local school, Andrews Creek Primary, to provide insight and education to students on aquaculture and fish feed production. Andrews Creek Primary is located in Wesley Vale, with our BioMar facility in view from the school.

We make a promise, to our planet and its people with a set of ambitious targets that will seek to aid in the restoration of our environment while enabling humanity to thrive. Ben Milbourne visits BioMar

Celebrity chef Ben Milbourne visited BioMar Australia’s Wesley Vale factory twice last week. Ben grew up on Tasmania’s North West coast, working as a science school teacher in Devonport before participating in season 4 of MasterChef, where he placed 5th.
